I am running gnome-shell 3.8 from experimental. After installing ibus-1.5.2-2, I found ibus cannot start. Error messages show kind of connection refuses (when I try to start the daemon manually). I checked and found it is due to libibus-1.0-0 is installed (required by ibus-pinyin). So, I wonder if the new ibus needs to be conflict against that. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks, Hongzheng
