Dear Maintainer, In the comments of /etc/nsswitch.conf, the following text is listed: # Example configuration of GNU Name Service Switch functionality. # If you have the `glibc-doc' and `info' packages installed, try: # `info libc "Name Service Switch"' for information about this file. However, running the specified command gives information about libcdio, the GNU CD Input, Output, and Control Library, instead of the expected information about the GNU C Library. I do have the two packages (glibc-doc and info) listed. However, after installing the glibc-doc-reference package, the command produced the correct documentation. Therefore, I propose that the /etc/nsswitch.conf comments be updated to include glibc-doc-reference instead of glibc-doc. - -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: amd64 Kernel: Linux 3.9.0 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages base-files depends on: ii gawk [awk] 1:4.0.1+dfsg-2.1 ii mawk [awk] 1.3.3-17 ii original-awk [awk] 2011-08-10-2 base-files recommends no packages. base-files suggests no packages. - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.12 (GNU/Linux) iEYEAREDAAYFAlHgT+wACgkQ2/alund99Ife3gCeNf68vBGBn0zfvAJTT/8l60rM xAMAnRvyZgntAKEApWmga5XDmKcGEdki =VJx1 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
