Hi David, 2013/7/7 David Prévot <da...@tilapin.org>: >> I've reviewed upstream install documentation [1], and managed to get a >> working setup with a more reduced set of packages: > > Please note that most of those dependencies ship files that are provided > in upstream tarball: they have just been packaged separately in Debian.
Yes, I've noticed many of them do. I probably missed some, too. Not all of them, though. > Furthermore, all of these dependencies do install fine on Wheezy and > even in Squeeze. Have you checked this recently? I don't remember which was the culprit here, but when I tried this earlier today some of them were trying to drag new libc runtime, which was way too much for my intent. >> Everything else has been verified to be avoidable. > > Without owncloud-doc, the help of the webui will just be broken, without > libjs-pdf, the PDF Viewer application can’t work. I stand corrected regarding owncloud-doc and libjs-pdf. Please can you recheck the others? I think if one of them attempts to drag new native binary code, which drags in new libc runtime, this should be considered a blocker for backports.
