Dear Maintainer, The attempt to upgrade from Squeeze to Wheezy on this system has been a disaster. For this bug report, the kernel seems unable to deal proerly with the Port Multipliers in use by the RAID array which is the entire reason for the existence of the server. The array consists of eight 3TB hard drives in a RAID chassis employing two PMs. Upon boot, some number of drives fail to be registered by the system. Using the embedded eSATA ports, only three of 8 drives appear in /dev. Using a Silicon Image controller, only six of eight drives appear. Obviously, all the drives need to be available.
