Package: golang
Version: 2:1.1.1-1ubuntu1~ubuntu13.10.1~ppa1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Please ignore the version numbering; this is in effect whats in the NEW queue
for 2:1.1.1-2.

I've been using the 1.1.1 packages via Ubuntu Launchpad PPA's and I've noticed
that none of the
cross compiled golang-go-XX-XX packages include the runtime/cgo go package
other than i386,
which is the native compiler in this case (as i386 builds the arch all
packages).

I've scratched my head for a couple of hours on how to resolve this; the
problem is that for the
cross compiled archs, some of the headers are missing so runtime/cgo fails to
build.

Including the appropriate libc6-dev-XXX package fixes this problem; but that
does not feel like
the correct way to resolve this issue.

I guess one way to resolve this is to provide runtime/cgo in the golang-go
package instead of
the arch all package.

Thoughts?

Cheers

James
