According to the project homepage (http://pytyle.com/wiki/Main_Page), pytyle development has been stopped, the authors now recommend using pytyle3 instead (https://github.com/BurntSushi/pytyle3)
pytyle3 is : An updated (and much faster) version of pytyle that uses xpybutil and is compatible with Openbox Multihead.
