Package: vsftpd Version: 2.0.3-1 Severity: important
I followed the instructions at /usr/share/doc/vsftpd/EXAMPLE/VIRTUAL_USERS/README.gz for setting up virtual users, and vsftpd does not accept logins from a virtual user I created. I don't know what the problem is, and I shouldn't have to spent any time to find out. There should be some tool that lets me setup virtual users and test that indeed it works, without me having to do anything. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-2-686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages vsftpd depends on: ii adduser 3.63 Add and remove users and groups ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libcap1 1:1.10-14 support for getting/setting POSIX. ii libpam-modules 0.76-22 Pluggable Authentication Modules f ii libpam-runtime 0.76-22 Runtime support for the PAM librar ii libpam0g 0.76-22 Pluggable Authentication Modules l ii libssl0.9.7 0.9.7e-3 SSL shared libraries ii libwrap0 7.6.dbs-8 Wietse Venema's TCP wrappers libra -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
