I looked at the other messages, and they are not coding errors. The compiler is emitting warnings on the dup(), chown(), and nice() where it should not. This is caused by (in my opinion) a bug in the glibc header files. See https://github.com/kholtman/afio/issues/3 for the long version of the explanation.
