some characters from latin1 character set are not being displayed
correctly. they are replaced by '?' (question mark).

the incorrect characters:

ÁÀÃÂ Ç ÉÊ Í ÓÕÔ ÚÛ (upper case accented from portuguese)

I tryed with a srt file with ISO-8859-1, ISO-8859-15 and UTF-8
encodings. In all encondings, each character is replaced by one
question mark. the lower case accented characters are normal.
