Great! Thank you for the feedback. I will tag this bug as
fixed in 1.0.23. There will hopefully be proper upload of
1.0.23 to unstable, we will then be able to close this bug.
PS: Sorry for not getting back to you earlier. But since I am
currently not the maintainer of sane-backends, I didn't
get your message without being on the CC list.

Ploufy, please provide a detailed way on how and what you did
when using your EPSON scanner with SANE. Where did you get the
message and what did you do?
