Package: dvdauthor
Version: 0.7.0-1.1+b2
Severity: important

Invoking dvdauthor with the following .xml control file fails to
write the .BUP and .IFO files in the target directory. Subsequent
applications, such as genisoimage, then fail due to a malformed dvd
file structure. The other VTS...IFO and VTS...BUP and VTS...VOB
files are written normally.

   ----  dvd.xml  ---
<dvdauthor dest="/data/DVD" >
  <vmgm />
    <titleset>
      <titles>
        <pgc>
          <vob file="/data/barbsings2.dvd" />
        </pgc>
      </titles>
    </titleset>
</dvdauthor>
------------------------

The .dvd file is output from openshot application; running this same
..xml control and the same .dvd file in dvdauthor 0.6.18-1+b1 works
properly. (This earlier version was the Lenny/stable release.)

I tried the simplest "strace -f dvdauthor -x dvd.xml" for diagnostic
help and there was no attempt to open either VIDEO_TS.BUP or
VIDEO_TS.IFO in the trace file.
