Most critical problems identified, and either fixed or worked around
(pushed a rewound wip/resurection).  Will need a proper fix for
library detection/loading before thinking about an upload to
experimental, though.

To maintainers: what are your plans wrt serna ?  Would you like to
continue working on it ?
