Package: libsane
Version: 1.0.22-7.4
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I am using a Officejet 6110 multifunction printer/scanner on an AMD64
system. Scanning was not possible, I got the error "device I/O Error(9)"
when scanning a photo. Scanning was very slow, the scanner has unacceptable
time to wait. Even if you close Xsane app. 2 minutes later the scanner
starts working. I did some googleing, but nothing was really helpful.

After some more investigation on my system with multiarch support I saw,
that libsane and libsane:i386 were on my system. So I tried purging the i386
parts of the libraries.

This was the trick to get my scanner back!

Please ask other users whether they are having libsane:i386 in a multiarch
environment resulting in bugs against libsane package.

Regards

Wolfgang
