Hi From lvm2 team - we made light overview of the proposed patches replacing semaphores with udev monitor and we are quite surprised it's being released as an lvm2 package - since it's quite major deviation from upstream behaviour and contains some bug which needs to be fixed before considering them for upstream inclusion.
