Package: linux-image-2.6-686
Version: 2.6.14-1
Severity: normal

kernel argument "vga" is no longer useable - I get a blank screen when
using it. Working in linux-image-2.6.12-1-686 rev 2.6.12-10, working in
homemade 2.6.14 kernel with CONFIG_FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE=y (I don't use
initrd in my homebrew kernels).

Missing module in the inirtd image ?

Corresponding grub entry is:
title Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.14-1-686
root (hd0,1)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.14-1-686 root=/dev/hda2 vga=791 ro
initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.14-1-686
savedefault
boot

Just ask if anything is missing.
