This could be changes to video drivers in the kernel. Please describe your graphics card used. Also, 2.6.14 is no longer supported by mkinitrd so even if you haven't explicitly selected yaird then that (or initramfs-tools) is used now. Please try the following: 1) add "ramdisk = /usr/sbin/mkinitrd.yaird" to /etc/kernel-img.conf 2) make a backup of the initrd for your older working kernel 3) Run "dpkg-reconfigure <old kernel package>" 4) Reboot with older kernel This can help test if the problem is specific to the latest kernel or a bug in yaird irrelevant of kernel version. You can also try installing initramfs-tools, uninstalling yaird, run "dpkg-reconfigure <new kernel package>" and reboot with new kernel. - Jonas - -- * Jonas Smedegaard - idealist og Internet-arkitekt * Tlf.: +45 40843136 Website: http://dr.jones.dk/ - Enden er nær: http://www.shibumi.org/eoti.htm -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFDZMO2n7DbMsAkQLgRAkNTAKCO/x0FCCkops9ld8lNoMR06W7VlQCdE3V9 J6JsLfqu4B1j3jrL7y+sP7g= =t/3Z -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
