I don't think this is a change in sysvinit/initscripts. There have been no significant changes made since the wheezy release. Could you possibly try booting with the wheezy kernel and then trying to reboot? This will identify whether it's due to a change in the kernel or something in userspace. Thanks, Roger -- .''`.
