Package: gcc-4.8 Version: 4.8.1-3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainers,
on my mixed jessie/sid team I enjoy the version 4.8.1 of gcc. The C-compiler works fine. Thanks very much for the good work. I just noticed that calling either gcc-ar-4.8, gcc-nm-4.8, or gcc-ranlib-4.8 with the switch "-h" aborts with the message Cannot find plugin 'liblto_plugin.so' although I verified that /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.8/liblto_plugin.so from the package cpp-4.8 is present on my system as a dependency of gcc-4.8, the same constellation as with gcc 4.7 where these programs work correctly.
