convert changes the contrast (or curve or gamma) of the image significantly without any reason. Example command: convert test.png test2.png This one results in an image with less amount of grey, midtones are getting darker. Example original: http://mein-neues-blog.de/files/xplanetFX/imagemagick_bug_16_06_13/test.png Result after the above command: http://mein-neues-blog.de/files/xplanetFX/imagemagick_bug_16_06_13/test2.png Compiling e.g. imagemagick 6.7.9 doesn't help because it seems the bug is in the depending graphics libraries not in the imagemagick binary.
