Package:installation-reports Version:whatever's in wheezy now In the installer the option to check if the install media is intact using hashsums should be the very first step. Currently it's among the last steps. People will now end up installing from broken media and will get all kind of strange behavior and conclude Debian is rubbish. Most people don't check the .iso they've downloaded either.
