That's odd. This should work. If network-manager is installed, a script in finish-install should copy the NM configuration to the freshly installed system. Do you still have the installation logs (see /var/log/installer)? Do you see anything about copying network configuration during finish-install in syslog? Gaudenz -- Ever tried. Ever failed.
