* What led up to the situation?
I opened the Movie Player by Applications -> Sound & Video -> Movie Player,
left or right click, and it opens the player, and shows a little circle
spinning, but never allows input to any of the menus, or to close it on the X
in the top right corner. In order to stop it, I have to ps aux | grep totem,
kill -i [PID]
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Everything was ineffective. Whenever the cursor is over the window, it just
freezes spinning the little wheel.
* What was the outcome of this action?
The outcome of starting Movie Player (totem), is that it opens, but doesn't
accept from the mouse or keyboard, either to the menu or the close window right
top corner "X".
* What outcome did you expect instead?
To accept input and play a video.
