Still happening, to the best of my knowledge. I was trying to set up an encrypted partition where a previous (also encrypted) partition was, without changing the partition scheme, but it kept coming back to the partitioning screen.
After trying for 3 times (three different reboots) I decided to delete the partition (not because of this, but because I was lacking a swap partition and I thought that might be the issue) and after creating two separate partitions, the installation proceeded.
