Cold booted in both cases:

$ uptime
 21:33:18 up 3 min, 1 user, load average: 1.36, 1.38, 0.60
$ dpkg-query --show libfprint0
libfprint0:amd64        1:0.5.0-4
$ sudo -k
$ sudo id
Could not locate any suitable fingerprints matched with available hardware.
[sudo] password for nov:
uid=0(root) gid=0(root) groups=0(root)

$ uptime
 21:41:17 up 3 min, 1 user, load average: 1.10, 1.36, 0.63
$ dpkg-query --show libfprint0
libfprint0:amd64        1:0.5.0-5
$ sudo -k
$ sudo id
Could not locate any suitable fingerprints matched with available hardware.
[sudo] password for nov:
uid=0(root) gid=0(root) groups=0(root)

Actually gdm3 shows a same message (Could not locate any ...) on its
login dialog first.

Thanks,
