Hi,

I experiment the same problem when trying to update initramfs-tools in jessy via dist-upgrade !

I have that result when trying to fix it with aptitude -t experimental install 
-f
The following partially installed packages will be configured:
  initramfs-tools
No packages will be installed, upgraded, or removed.
0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 223 not upgraded.
Need to get 0 B of archives. After unpacking 0 B will be used.
Setting up initramfs-tools (0.112) ...
update-initramfs: deferring update (trigger activated)
Processing triggers for initramfs-tools ...
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-3.8-2-amd64
ls: cannot access /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/pango: No such file or directory
E: /usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks/plymouth failed with return 2.
update-initramfs: failed for /boot/initrd.img-3.8-2-amd64 with 2.
dpkg: error processing initramfs-tools (--configure):
 subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2

 initramfs-tools

A package failed to install.  Trying to recover:
