Yes, it looks like that was the problem with dhcp.  I put a dhcpd.conf 
in /etc/dhcp/ instead of /etc/, and it all works now.

That file should have been in the new place even in squeeze, so this is 
definitely not a squeeze->wheezy upgrade problem.  I was still using he 
dhcp server from etch, in fact, with the dhcpd.conf in /etc instead of 
/etc/dhcp, so if it was an upgrade problem, it was one that 
happened long, long ago, and is probably not worth trying to track down 
now.

Now running happily on wheezy.
