Package: calibre Version: 0.8.51+dfsg1-0.1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
* Installed and configured calibre * Connected e-book reader device * Detected device is shown in status bar, device icons appear * Device contents can be shown * However: Send to device fails with the message "Cannot send: No device is connected" I've traced the problem to /usr/lib/calibre/calibre/gui2/device.py, line 827 self.status_bar.show_message(_('Device: ')+\ self.device_manager.device.__class__.get_gui_name()+\ _(' detected.'), 3000) in which execution (device configuration) seems to get abandoned. Commenting out this line fixes the bug. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable'), (500, 'oldstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.8.7 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages calibre depends on: ii calibre-bin 0.8.51+dfsg1-0.1 ii fonts-liberation 1.07.2-6 ii imagemagick 8:6.7.7.10-5 ii poppler-utils 0.18.4-6 ii python-beautifulsoup 3.2.1-1 ii python-chardet 2.0.1-2 ii python-cherrypy3 3.2.2-2 ii python-cssutils 0.9.10~b1-1 ii python-dateutil 1.5+dfsg-0.1 ii python-dbus 1.1.1-1 ii python-feedparser 5.1.2-1 ii python-imaging 1.1.7-4 ii python-lxml 2.3.2-1 ii python-mechanize 1:0.2.5-3 ii python-pkg-resources 0.6.24-1 ii python-pyparsing 1.5.6+dfsg1-2 ii python-qt4 4.9.3-4 ii python-routes 1.13-2 ii python2.7 2.7.3-6 ii xdg-utils 1.1.0~rc1+git20111210-6 Versions of packages calibre recommends: pn python-dnspython <none> calibre suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
