OK, sorry - I have just come back from a weekend away, and did not
immediately see the rest of the bug traffic after the initial report.

I leave it to you whether you want to reassign this to xterm, close it
as it is a local configuration error (using utf8 in a non-utf8 aware
application) or do something else altogether.
