Package: liboss4-salsa-asound2 Version: 4.2-build2007-2 Severity: normal Greetings Maintainer, I am trying to update my debian unstable and dselect tries to install the liboss4-salsa2 and the liboss4-salsa-asound2 packages for no reason. These packages conflict with the libasound2 and so now dselect tries to remove a bunch of packages which depend on libasound2. Now dselect wants to remove alsa-utils, iceape, iceweasel, ffmpeg, vlc, mplayer ... because of liboss4-salsa-asound2 and that would break my system. I do not want liboss4 packages and no other packages I have installed depend on liboss4. For some reason dselect is trying to install them. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.8-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages liboss4-salsa-asound2 depends on: pn liboss4-salsa2 <none> liboss4-salsa-asound2 recommends no packages. liboss4-salsa-asound2 suggests no packages.
