i already know about this bug, it has been fixed in 1.3-4 which is
currently in debian/unstable only. i prepared a backport for sarge, so
you can install this version on your debian/sarge box.

see http://people.debian.org/~mejo/lurker/

lurker_1.3-4.sarge1_i386.deb is the file you want to install.
