All previous build logs of ocaml on alpha don't seem to show this problem, but 3.08.3-8 ocamlopt.opt is broken (see bug#335578). For example, 3.08.3-7 seems to have built correctly, and the differences between these two versions were mainly the ocaml-mode and ocaml-md5sums stuff, and no source changes. Moreover, both packages were built on goedel, so I don't know what could have caused this, besides toolchain changes.
