Hi all,

I'm on wheezy with WLAN configured through network-manager and I have this bug, too.
Shutdown freezes when a NFS share is still mounted.

I then did some research, perhaps this will help...

First, let me post references to what I believe is the same problem:

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=612379

Now the interesting part
Shutdown goes well using the wheezy stock kernel 3.2.0-4-686-pae.
Without any changes to my system, just using a vanilla kernel 3.9, the shutdown freezes. I'm confident that no nfs-relevant config switches differ between the 2 kernels (diffed the configs). To triage a bit further and to verify that network manager is at fault, I switched to using /etc/network/interfaces for my WLAN and repeated my test. I first used 3.2.0-4-686-pae, no problems. I then used my 3.9, also without problems. Switching back to using network manager, the problem came back when I use kernel 3.9.

I have no idea what might be causing this.
As a workaround, I added ". /etc/init.d/umountnfs.sh" to alsa-utils, which is the first script executed on reboot and shutdown.
