dpkg: error: parsing file '/var/lib/dpkg/available' near line 24948 package 'python2.4-pymedia': blank line in value of field 'Description' E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)
There is no such package in Debian, and I couldn't even find any evidence that we ever had such a package. Perhaps it came from a third-party repository?
Versions of packages python2.4-pymedia depends on: ii faad 2.7-6 freeware Advanced Audio Decoder pl ii lame 3.98.4-0.0 LAME Ain't an MP3 Encoder pn liblame-dev <none> (no description available) ii libogg-dev 1.2.0~dfsg-1 Ogg bitstream library development ii libvorbis-dev 1.3.1-1+squeeze1 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi pn python2.4 <none> (no description available)
Well, the dependencies also strongly suggests it's not our package. They couldn't have been satisfied within Debian proper: lame was first uploaded to Debian over a year after python2.4 was removed.
