There is no (java library) binary packages of hsqldb going away. It's a "simple" hsqldb 1.8.0.10 -> hsqldb 2.2.9 version upgrade. Because LO sticked a "I have 1.8" version sticker into their file format and apparently needed HUGHE changed (abandoned afaics) to migrate to hsqldb 2.2.9 I assumed it would be a non-trivial transition. #22 has the binary package list of everything affected (basically everything Depends/Recommends/Suggests libhsqldb-java). Add libreoffice-base too and you're done. LO will switch to libhsqldb1.8.0-java (see above), the rest does build with hsqldb 2.2.9 at least. openjpa needs to be fixed (and be it by using libhsqldb1.8.0-java, too) I don't think there's a rebuild needed as the jar doesn't change: rene@frodo:~/tmp/post-wheezy/4$ ls -l /usr/share/java/hsqldb.jar lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 24 Mär 19 14:38 /usr/share/java/hsqldb.jar -> hsqldb-1.8.0.10+dfsg.jar rene@frodo:~/tmp/post-wheezy/4$ ls -l /sid/usr/share/java/hsqldb.jar lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 Mär 18 22:42 /sid/usr/share/java/hsqldb.jar -> hsqldb-2.2.9.jar So in the end it's not exactly a real or big transition anyway (except mabe the switch to libhsqldb1.8.0-java) and I should have done this far earlier, yes...
