Package: bacula-director-common
Version: 1.36.3-1b
Severity: wishlist

When I activated the BackupCatalog job in bacula-dir.conf, I got this:
25-Oct 01:40 wheat-dir: RunBefore: Password:
25-Oct 01:40 wheat-dir: RunBefore: pg_dump: [archiver (db)] connection to
database "bacula" failed: fe_sendauth: no password supplied
25-Oct 01:40 wheat-dir: Start Backup JobId 225,
Job=BackupCatalog.2005-10-25_01.05.07

And this status

  Non-fatal FD errors: 0
  SD Errors: 0
  FD termination status: OK
  SD termination status: OK
  Termination: Backup OK

This raises a couple of issues:

1. I think the failure of the RunBefore script should stop operations
and result in an overall failure report. I notice the
make_catalag_backup script provided does an unconditional exit 0 at
the end. Probably it needs to pass back the exit status of the
command just executed. I'm not enough of a shell guru to know how
that's done.

2. The script doesn't work. Possibly this has something to do with
the Debian-specific setup of accounts for bacula and postgres. I'll
note that I *think* (but am not sure) that server side scripts
(RunBefore) run as bacula, while client-side scripts run as root. So
it might work as root. That doesn't help, because this needs to run
on the server.
