Package: tin Version: 1:2.1.1-1 Severity: minor Dear Maintainer,
According to the man page for the option: "....To use the build-in viewer, set to --internal. This is the default value when metamail(1) is not installed." Metamail is not installed, and doesn't even seem to be package database. Still, the default newly generated tinrc file was set to metamail. If metamail is obsolete, this option and the description in the man page should probably be changed. My personal preference would be for the default to be for no automatic viewing (blank value) instead of --internal. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.0 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages tin depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.49 ii libc6 2.13-38 ii libcanlock2 2b-6 ii libicu48 4.8.1.1-12 ii libncursesw5 5.9-10 ii libpcre3 1:8.31-2 ii libtinfo5 5.9-10 ii libuu0 0.5.20-3.3 Versions of packages tin recommends: ii exim4-daemon-light [mail-transport-agent] 4.80-7 Versions of packages tin suggests: ii gnupg 1.4.12-7 ii ispell 3.3.02-6 -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
