I'm not sure this is the real problem. It could very well be that ncal just
takes the current month (as taken from the system) and displays that.

Besides, what's the difference for the Julian and the Gregorian date this year?
Are we supposed to be as many days off as we stripped a couple hundred years
ago, and then some of course, or should it start the year at the same time? I
don't know and the source doesn't really have an answer either.
