Control: retitle -1 lintian: false-positive statically-linked-binary when run
with root privs
Control: severity -1 minor

* Jari Aalto <jari.aa...@cante.net>, 2013-04-28, 14:06:
   $ git clone http://cante.net/~jaalto/vc/i810switch.git i810switch.git
   $ cd i810switch

Did you mean "cd i810switch.git" here?

$ lintian --display-info --show-overrides --display-experimental --pedantic
../i810switch_0.6.5-7.1_i386.deb
warning: the authors of lintian do not recommend running it with root
privileges!

Why do you run Lintian as root?

But anyway, I can reproduce[0] the bug if (and only if) Lintian is run with (fake)root privileges. Thanks.

   O: i810switch: wrong-file-owner-uid-or-gid usr/bin/i810switch 0/141

This looks very wrong. What is this override for? FWIW, here I get:
I: i810switch: unused-override wrong-file-owner-uid-or-gid usr/bin/i810switch
0/141

[0] $ fakeroot lintian -T statically-linked-binary i810switch_0.6.5-7_i386.deb
warning: the authors of lintian do not recommend running it with root
privileges!
E: i810switch: statically-linked-binary usr/bin/i810switch
