I've re-opened this bug: I'm not sure why it was originally closed, but the problem persisted for me up to and including the current version 2.6.2-1. I have a slightly simpler description: My web tree is rooted at /var/www. I have some photos in /var/www/photos/weblinks/topic. I select them, and create a web album, in /var/www/photos/topic, which should then be accessible as myserver://photos/topic. Everything works *except* that the final link to the full-size picture itself uses the long path: img000.jpeg.html: <a href="../../../../../../../..//var/www/photos/weblinks/topic/dscn3570.jpg"><img src="img000.jpeg.medium.jpeg" alt="img000.jpeg.medium.jpeg" width="300" height="400" class="preview"/></a><BR> which results in a final picture link: http://myserver//var/www/photos/weblinks/topic/dscn3570.jpg which is of course not accessible from outside. There's an extraneous "/var/www/" in the above link. People from outside access the web area - which really does exist at /var/www/ - as "http://myserver/";, not as "http://myserver//var/www/";. Since my webserver does not allow access to random paths under "/", the link is broken.
