Do you mean in the gnome-mplayer preferences? I am pretty sure I haven't changed anything regarding this. However, I see that I have all those emulation options (QuickTime Emulation, RealPlayer Emulation, Windows Media Player Emulation, DiVX Player Emulation) disabled!
