Hi.
After creating a Debian/wheezy vserver guest with the bootstrap method,
the vserver guest will refuse to start.
# vserver wheezyguest start
fakerunlevel: open("/var/run/utmp"): No such file or directory
I tried to manually create the symlinks from /var/lock to /run/lock and
/var/run to /run but util-vserver deletes this symlinks and the guest
will continue refusing to start.
I have tested util-vserver 0.30.216-pre3038 and it fixes the problem. I
have built a debian package with the new upstream version very easily:
update the upstream orig.tar.bz2, delete debian/patches/* and update
debian/changelog
After installing the new util-vserver the problem goes away and all
works as expected.
So please: update the package to a newer upstream version.
