Package: openoffice.org Version: 2.0.0-1 Followup-For: Bug #335026 Hi,
I grabbed the packages from http://people.debian.org/~rene/openoffice.org/2.x/ and the problem still persists. I'm not sure how it's possible for sensible-ooomua to work without python 2.4, since it tries to import subprocess and subprocess was introduced in 2.4. Here's the the output of sensible-ooomua: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/sensible-ooomua", line 6, in ? import os, sys, subprocess ImportError: No module named subprocess This is with my current configuration (which has /usr/bin/python pointing to python2.3). If I point it to python2.4 (or call python 2.4 directly) I get this output: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/sensible-ooomua", line 60, in ? call_kmail() File "/usr/bin/sensible-ooomua", line 22, in call_kmail for arg in re.split('[?&]', sys.argv[1]): IndexError: list index out of range I can see why you wouldn't get the error with evolution since it seems to be generated from within call_kmail. Of course, some other applications seem to depend on python 2.3 being the default python interpreter (e.g eric) so permanently changing the symlink to point to python 2.4 doesn't seem like an option either. Any thoughts? Thanks.
