The ruby1.9.1 source package is getting this build failure on the unofficial Debian x32 port: <URL: http://buildd.debian-ports.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=ruby1.9.1&arch=x32&ver=1.9.3.194-8.1&stamp=1363985678 >: ... compiling gc.c gc.c: In function 'objspace_each_objects': gc.c:2618:20: warning: variable 'v' set but not used [-Wunused-but-set-variable] gc.c: Assembler messages: gc.c:1316: Error: operand type mismatch for `movq' gc.c:2416: Error: operand type mismatch for `movq' gc.c:1306: Error: operand type mismatch for `movq' gc.c:2442: Error: operand type mismatch for `movq' make[1]: *** [gc.o] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/build/buildd-ruby1.9.1_1.9.3.194-8.1-x32-65z1DU/ruby1.9.1-1.9.3.194' make: *** [debian/stamp-makefile-build] Error 2 dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules build-arch gave error exit status 2 I'm attaching a debdiff of changes I used to get ruby1.9.1 packages built for 1.9.3.194-8. It still doesn't pass the testsuites -- which is the reason I'm not yet going to tag this report with "patch" -- but it does pass the first basic tests so I uploaded it to debian-ports as basically working with some caveats. -- Daniel Schepler
