It seems strange to me that this bug has been ignored for over a year, needlessly filling up people's log files. Sure, there is an easy workaround for it: simply download the source code for it and recompile. But then it's also necessary to freeze it to prevent it from being replaced during every next update, so it would be much more convenient if the maintenance team simply fixed it instead.
