There has been a new ferm upstream release, 2.1.2, a couple of months ago (17 Dec 2012). The mentioned release fixes #679996, #660412, #607401 and quite possibly #550839 and #641532, therefore, I took the liberty of raising the severity of the bug because of that (change it if you consider it unsuitable).
