(Sorry, the reply was sent only to the maintainer first) Yes, I'm running the latest version from unstable.
The revised patch from 20080406p-3 probably reduces logging, but it still calls log_warn() and thus logs every time a connection is attempted. As said in the original report, it would be better (IMHO) to log these with log_debug(). I get these logs about one every hour per every ntp peer.
