Package: isenkram
Version: 0.2
Severity: wishlist

It would be nice to be able to use isenkram as a small command line
utility without the necessity to pull in and then disable aptdaemon.
Please think of the following use cases:

 * Having an X-less system with hardware isenkram detects. Even for
experienced users it might be much easier to run isenkram from
command line than to look them up manually.
 * Integration into configuration management systems such as puppet. The
administrator could ship a list of packages that are automatically
installed if suitable hardware is detected by isenkram. In puppet
that would mean writing a facter plugin calling out to isenkram and
making the manifest depend on those "facts". This might appear
total imagination at first, but having the correct RAID
administration tool installed on servers just after configuring
puppet is a huge time saver.
 * In future isenkram might be integrated into the installer to suggest
additional packages. It would have to work with the existing ncurses
interface so, likely a command line interface would be needed here as
   well.

Consider to either split isenkram into two packages of which one
provides just the command line interface or to demote much of the
Depends to Recommends.
