Package: claws-mail Version: 3.8.1-1 Severity: normal Please don't disable interface elements when not really needed, for example:
* Configuration menu is disabled when the mail check is in progress. * Preferences windows are modal and make it impossible to continue writing or reading mails. * Can't reproduce it now, but opening Compose window used to block certain menu items. As I understand, this is done to ensure that mail check process (and other things) use consistent settings; however, it's probably better for them to just acquire a copy of the settings when they start, so user can safely change anything without affecting running processes. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.6-trunk-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_GB.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages claws-mail depends on: ii libc6 2.13-35 ii libcairo2 1.12.2-3 ii libcompfaceg1 1:1.5.2-5 ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.98-1 ii libenchant1c2a 1.6.0-7 ii libetpan15 1.0-5 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.26.0-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.34.1-1 ii libgnutls26 2.12.19-1 ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.17-1 ii libice6 2:1.0.5-1 ii libldap-2.4-2 2.4.17-1 ii libpango1.0-0 1.30.0-1 ii libpisock9 0.12.5-4+b1 ii libsm6 2:1.1.0-2 ii xdg-utils 1.0.2+cvs20100307-2 Versions of packages claws-mail recommends: ii aspell-en [aspell-dictionary] 7.1-0-1 ii aspell-ru [aspell-dictionary] 0.99g5-8 ii claws-mail-i18n 3.8.0-1 ii xfonts-100dpi 1:1.0.3 ii xfonts-75dpi 1:1.0.3 Versions of packages claws-mail suggests: ii chromium [www-browser] 16.0.912.77~r118311-1 ii claws-mail-doc 3.7.10-2 ii claws-mail-tools 3.8.0-1 pn gedit | kwrite | mousepad | nedit <none> ii iceape-browser [www-browser] 2.0.4-1 ii iceweasel [www-browser] 19.0~b1-1 ii links2 [www-browser] 2.3~pre2-1 ii lynx-cur [www-browser] 2.8.8dev.1-1 ii midori [www-browser] 0.4.3-1 ii w3m [www-browser] 0.5.2-2+b1 ii w3mmee [www-browser] 0.3.p24.20-3+b3 -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
