Package: base Severity: normal
When logging to the X-window system from multiple terminals, using XDMCP, various problems happen which seem partly related with the way the DISPLAY variable is used, and partly related with the fact that they have concurrent access on some files. - The upadate manager, just doesn't even start from a remote terminal. Only in local. - the epiphany browser has troubles because it doesn't detect the browser started on another terminal, but detects the existing temporary files, and thinks it comes from a previous crashed session while the other session is still active. - the chromium browser opens new window on the terminal where chromium application is already active instead of on the terminal on which it has been asked. 5this is a problem with chromium, but is it normal that the x-windows system allows it ? Those are juste examples. there might be likewise other problems. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.7 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'proposed-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686-bigmem (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_BE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_BE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
