You probably misread the above link. There is now such thing as a 2.0 version of the extension (there is not even any numbered release). There is however a work in progress (in a separate git branch) to port the extension to GWeather. Of course we will upload a new version of the extension when this work is finished and merged back in the main development branch. -- .''`.
